Activities
Food and Wine
Many guests come for just two activities: wining and dining. For this reason you can sample a local wine each evening during our guest room tour. We also recommend that you enjoy an elegant dinner at Papillon restaurant, right next door to the Inn.
Visit the Food and Wine page.
Other Activities
Others come for the wide range of outdoor and cultural activities SLO County offers. You'll find areas for hiking, fishing, bird watching and picnicking nearby, as well as facilities for golfing and sailing. There are many museums, galleries and venues too.
Visit the Other Activities page.
Around the Inn
Just across the street is a small boat launch and pier, a good spot to view the bay. Try a cappuccino from Coffee 'n Things while you watch a stunning sunset. Coffee 'n Things is home to the Baywood Navy whose motto is, "We don't sail in water deeper than we can stand in".
Canoeing, kayaking and small boat sailing are quite popular. At high tide there is small boat access from the pier to Morro Bay and the Pacific Ocean (life jackets are strongly encouraged).

A Short Walk
Sweet Springs Nature Preserve is a short walk from the Inn and is a great place for a picnic, or you could take the Baywood Beach Walk around the peninsula. At high tide you might get your feet wet, but you’ll be able to see many interesting waterfront homes.
If you are around the Inn on a Monday afternoon, don't miss the Baywood Farmers Market for local produce and fresh fruits.
Festivals
Junefest takes place on the 2nd Sunday of June, directly in front of the Inn. It’s a carnival with a Kayak race and a 4-mile run. It’s just outside your door, so relax and enjoy.
Octoberfest also takes place just outside the Inn. On the 4th Sunday of October there’s a Halloween Parade, another 4-mile run and lots of food and beer.
